Off to MacDowell
I am happily on my way to the MacDowell Colony where I will be lucky to work for a few weeks. My official plan consists of writing some music for orchestra, but I will also spend some time making an arrangement for Schott music and editing recordings for a CD. Blissful. But as I am always in need of something to worry about, I have fixated on the question of how much manuscript paper to take along? What size? Too many pages will present an unrealistic expectation. Too few pages and I will have to make complicated arrangements for large pages to come my way. Too many pages and they will weigh down my suitcase. Too few and I will not have planned properly.
But really everything will be fine. And I'm happy to be away from New York in August, yet again.
