         <title>Playback, elementary school</title>

I knew the nervous laughter and twittering was moments away, so I grabbed my camera.<ul>"Do you want to hear what we just recorded?"
"Yeah!!" 
"Okay, here we go!"</ul>There's something really precious about watching these kids (age 7-10) listening to their recorded selves -- all at once they're excited, embarrassed, and proud. It's a moment of self-consciousness that these kids won't really experience for another few years. They sing a zany sort of out-of-tune unison, but there's an earnestness that I love:
